The first year we had Suddenlink it seem to work fine. But then they oversold subscriptions for the capacity in Mammoth Lakes California.
For four years we could barely stream in the content over our high-speed Internet. We were paper 50 MB in receiving lesson 15. Suddenlink cover this up for four years. Beset technicians out several times who charged for visits.
They never could be never did fix the problem. Sometime in 2015 Suddenlink completed a new cable system which increase the capacity Mammoth Lakes. But it only works for a while and then they oversold more subscriptions I believe. Same problem not being able to stream anything.
At one point they admitted to their customers this was a problem and they were going to reimburse. We never did receive the reimbursement we still have in fear servicing barely stream anything unless it's 4 o'clock in the morning and they've sold to a foreign company.

Incorrect Report on Credit File
Within the last week, this company reported an amount to my credit report as an amount owed for not returning equipment in 2011!! I have written documentation that it was returned in 2011, and again in 2012 (evidently no one at this place can complete anything) We had service again in 2013 because the equipment was marked as returned.
NOPE! Evidently now in 2016 this company decided to put the amount of the 'non-returned equipment' on my credit bureau. I have written documentation from 2011, 2012, 2013 and now last week that this was returned. Unfortunately I have realized that the easiest solution is to just pay it and be done.
I will not pay something I do not owe. I am filing formal complaints with Equifax & FCRA/FTC. YOU HAD ONE JOB Melanie 2011, Kay 2011 & Scott 2012. Does no one take pride in the jobs they perform?
Also, when I call for assistance, I am told I have to go to Local office. Local office sends an email and says they can't do anything, have to call collections, Call main number and am told no consumer is able to speak to collections department, but unfortunately the lady I spoke to at Regional office can't do anything, I have to go to local office. I would love to have a job where all I do is tell people "nope not me, have to talk to someone else" what do you get paid to do?? Why am I getting the run around on your error Suddenlink?
Why am I having to fight for my excellent credit score that you messed up with $156?!? I do not recommend anyone do business with a company that treats their customers like I have been treated.

Preferred solution: Remove from credit report and update your records. I also request something in writing on Suddenlink Letterhead stating that all of this has been corrected.

So bad it's sad.
Utter *** trash is what this company is. Being a college student I constantly need to have access to my computer and internet. Well 95% the internet doesn't even work. It's lagging out so bad that it's nearly impossible to do anything on it, apparently from what I've heard another company has bought Suddenlink out, and it's not been nice for us here in Pikeville Kentucky.
If it continues I, I will refuse to pay for a service as bad as that. Customer service is awful as it gets, when you need help they most of the time try to play it off like they can't do anything about it just so they don't have to get off of their sorry *** ***.
Do yourself a favor and go to another cable and internet company.

We are being forced to pay to use the Internet, that we already pay for.
Suddenlink used to have no such thing as an "Acceptable Use Policy", but since they introduced it we've had to pay loads of cash every month. Suddenlink's response to this, is their *** claim on how it improves the quality of service.
Hey Suddenlink, it actually reduces the quality since we can't even use the Internet that we already pay for.
So we're paying $103 a month for 100/7.5 Internet & Home phone (Which we were FORCED to upgrade to for to get more data), and we've done everything we can do to limit out data. We've stopped updating our computers, stopped downloading games, turned Netflix and YouTube on low quality, yet, we still surpass the 450GB limit EVERY MONTH. We've been charged around $100 total in the past year in data overages alone, not to mention a month that clearly shows we never went over (After we upgraded to 525GB), yet, that month we're charged $20 in overage fees. This is unacceptable.
If suddenlink wants to cap internet, go ahead, just don't cap it so low. I'd be happy if the cap was 2000GB, not 350GB. I'd also be happy if the overage charge was $1 per 50GB, not $10 per 50GB.
And I'll just say this. I don't care about data caps in situations where as the Internet connection is free, but you're charged like $10 for every 100GB you use, but when I already pay a massive amount for an Internet connection, and then I'm being forced to pay to USE IT, that's a problem and it should be illegal.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. They keep rising the prices on my service without any notification even when I'm still in a promotional package deal.
I called them and they will not bring the prices back down. They were rude and kept telling me I was unreasonable for not accepting the price increase. Also, I suppose to have a 400Mb connection but I only get 180Mb.
I complained about that too but nothing has changed. They do not care and will not honor any agreement with their customers.
